Have been with Sandwell Accountancy Services sinch I first set up my one man Design Engineering Consultancy Business more than twenty years ago. SAS helped me open my company, steered me all through the pitfalls and do's and don'ts and provided an excellent professional service throughout all the years I have been involved with them. The owner Swaran has become a friend and trusted adviser to both myself and my wife when she was self employed for a while. All my questions and calls always answered and annual accounts discussed face-to-face together. SAS are a real family run, trusted, accountancy services provider in my personal opinion. Have recommended them to other self employed consultants from my own experience.

I was a client of this Accountant for 2 years. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The fee structure is not transparent - each stage of the process is charged separately: preparation incurs a fee, sending incurs another, and even explaining anything is an additional charge. There is no single, clear fee for the full service, which makes it difficult to budget and track costs. At times, it felt as though the frequent charges were added because they knew I could claim some of the fees back, so perhaps they assumed I wouldn't question it. However, the overall cost became quite high, and despite the expenses, I still didn't have a clear understanding of my taxes. After consulting a new accountant for just 30 minutes, I gained more clarity than I had in the previous 2 years. The new service is also more affordable and far more transparent. in my view unless you are comfortable being charged for each individual step and don't mind the extra costs, I would recommend considering alternative options.I saw your reply - | do feel the extra charges shouldn't have been there in the first place - especially when I've since paid around one-eighth of what I paid you for the same service through my new accountant. That comparison made it even more disappointing. I trusted the process at that time, but looking back , the pricing wasn't fair. I don't wish to contact you any further - I've moved on and just want to leave an HONEST review of my experience. I just hope that with future clients, even if you see they're earning well, you'll be fair in what you charge. You saw how much I earned at the time, and it really felt like you based your price on that - and not on the actual work done.
